- Monday, June 23, 2014 The Devoto Garden Vineyard is a young ridge-top site near Sebastopol in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley AVA that Stan Devoto has been farming for over 20 years. Green Valley is the foggiest and coolest part of Russian River and is reknowned for its well-drained Goldridge soil. Devoto Garden, on Gold Ridge Road, is certainly representative of these Green Valley characteristics: bright cool days, fog-bound evenings, and well-drained Goldridge sandy loam. Stan planted approximately 3 acres in 2005 with Dijon clone 828, with additional acreage, dedicated to 115 and 667, planted in 2007.
