2013 Russian River Pinot Noir
The 2013 Wait Cellars Russian River Pinot Noir was made from 100% hand-picked and hand-sorted Pinot Noir fruit from California’s Russian River Valley AVA.
This wine was made with Pinot Noir clones from two acclaimed Russian River vineyards: Dijon 667 and 115 of the cool Devoto Garden Vineyard, west of Sebastopol; and Dijon 777 and Swan, from the warmer Skikos Vineyard west of Santa Rosa. It was wild-fermented with 25% whole clusters. Conditioned in 33% new French oak, the darker, brooding flavors of the Skikos vineyard are nicely supported by the bright, mouth-watering fresh fruit flavors of the Devoto Garden – the result is an electric, satisfying wine.
